It's been more than a month since I posted on this blog. I mentioned on my last post that we were going to San Francisco so I'll start my update from there.
The day before we went to San Francisco, Vince' doctor called and said that he had to take antibiotics because he had strep throat. His fever was gone, but he still had to take the medication to get rid of the infection.
We flew early in the morning on February 8th. We took jetblue which had 3 seaters on both sides. It was a good thing that nobody was on the third seat so we had the row to ourselves. Vince slept most of the flight. He was only awake 2 hours out of the 6.5 hours. He was great! When he was awake, we fed him then he played with his toys. We placed him in the middle seat so Joe and I can watch him better.
We had a great time in San Francisco and that's thanks to Joe's relatives (Manay Pura, Manoy Rudy, Ron, Rick, Rosafel, Margie and Neil)!
Here are the pictures:
http://ameeh.multiply.com/photos/album/64February 14th... Valentine's day. Coming back was a nightmare. We took the early flight again. Unfortunately, according to the person who checked us in there were delays in JFK New York International Airport. We thought they were either going to cancel the flight or push back the departure time. But when we arrived at the gate, they started calling people to board the plane!
When we were 30 minutes away from JFK Airport, the pilot said that due to the weather and congestion at JFK, we were diverted to Atlantic City, NJ airport. That is around 3 hour bus ride from New York City. When we landed, the pilot mentioned that they were trying to arrange to get a bus for us to drive us to New York. 2 hours later, they are still trying to get a bus. It's a good thing they bought pizza for the passengers! Domestic flights here in the US only serve peanuts or chips. Joe and I also bought some Jollibee burgers and peach mango pie from San Francisco, so we also ate those. Besides having our own food, we were lucky because we brought enough milk for Vince to last him for 24 hours, enough clothes for Vince to soil on, the person who was supposed to sit on our row gave up his seat and took another empty seat (I think he would rather do that than be with a crying baby on a 6 hour flight... and a delayed flight at that). The only hard part was keeping Vince entertained. At one point, he started getting agitated because he's getting bored and just wanted to walk and crawl around, which he couldn't do.
Anyway, instead of arriving around 4pm, we arrived in New York around 10pm already. We were totall exhausted! On top of that, we got home and the side walk was ice. Joe couldn't shovel because it was too hard. He also had to guide me since I'm pregnant and may slip on the ice.
I was a wreck when I went to work the next day.
Last week, I went to Reston, VA for a meeting with Microsoft. Going there was ok, but coming back was not good. It wasn't as bad as the San Francisco incident but instead of getting home around 9pm, I got home almost midnight.
Now... no more flying for me. I'm going to be 29 weeks pregnant next week. It's getting harder to be seated a long time, it's getting harder to walk, i feel very heavy, this baby moves so much I think she's awake 24x7!
Joe and I will have to start buying some baby stuff for baby #2. It's not a lot because we can use some of Vince's stuff. We do need to buy another crib since Vince is still using his and he won't be moving to a twin bed for another 2 years probably.
I guess that's it for now.
