A few steps...

Vince has been very mobile for a couple of months now. Cruising and crawling around his room. The past few days, he's been trying to walk without holding on to anything! I saw the first 2 steps then I saw him take 3 more steps today! Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me. As all parents know, it's always hard to take a picture of the baby's firsts. I am still happy though because I'm here to see it happen.

I tried to have him come to me with the camera but he would just sit and crawl to me anyway. When he sees the camera, he would start smiling and pose. It's so funny!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

It is soooo cold!!!!!

It's 9:10am, 10 degrees Fahrenheit or -12 degrees Celsius

The highest temperature for today is 22 degrees Fahrenheit or -5 degrees Celsius!!!! Don't even think about the wind chill factor!

Gheez!!!

20 weeks and 4 days

I went to my monthly OB appointment today. The result on my GD test (Gestational Diabetes) is negative! I don’t have GD!!! But she warned me and told me to still watch my diet. I also haven’t gained weight yet so that‘s good! My doctor said that it’s better if I can maintain my weight…. Uhm… I’ll try (grin!)

Baby #2

Joe and I went to the Perinatologist yesterday for a detailed sonogram on our 2nd baby.

The baby looks good and healthy. We saw the heartbeat!

Then the doctor said.... that we are going to have a GIRL! :)

Vince 9 months

I took Vince to the doctor today for his 9-month check up.

Weight: 21lbs (above average)

Height 27inches and 3/4 (average)

Skills:

Reaches for toys
Drops objects and then looks for them
Becomes interested in grabbing the spoon during feedings
Goes from tummy to sitting by self
Picks up tiny objects
Begins to identify self in a mirror's reflection
Gets upset if toy is removed
Transfers object from hand to hand
Stands holding onto someone
Pulls to standing
Bangs two cubes together
Puts objects into containers and then takes them out
Voluntarily lets objects go
Has fun opening and closing cabinet doors
Crawls well
"Cruises" furniture
Walks with adult help
Pulls off hat and socks

The doctor said that his skills are advance for his age. Next appointment is after he turns a year old.
