Countdown: 17 days to go

17 days to go... if I'm on time. I feel really fat, really heavy and tired all day.

I looked at my blog from last year 17 days to go before my due date with Vince . I was already on bed rest. This time around, I am still working. Tonight I have an appointment with the Perinatologist just to check on the baby. On Thursday is my appointment with my OB. By that time I’m already 38 weeks pregnant. With all the uneasiness of this pregnancy, I can’t wait for the baby to come out and at the same time wanting to extend the pregnancy further because I know that it will be the beginning of sleepless nights (hopefully not).

Nevertheless, I am excited to meet my daughter. I’ve bought girly clothes, which I never thought would be so addicting. It’s a good thing I found a place that sells cheap baby clothes! Learning from my experience with Vince, NEVER BUY EXPENSIVE BABY CLOTHES since babies use them for only 2 months and sometimes less.

As for baby girl, she’s still moving a lot. She kicks my ribs and tickles my sides all the time.

Big bother Vince is getting a little bit more stable when he walks.
He responds to people now, waving when you say “hi” or “bye”.
He knows how to throw a tantrum when he wants something!
He’s one smart kid! He would go get his book instead of getting his toys to play. He loves it when people read to him.
He flips the pages on his own.
He loves taking off his socks and shoes.
He hates being stuck in his stroller.
He loves to walk around and be free!

It’s crazy how a lot of people comment on how cute he is and how people react to him. Yesterday, my husband and I went to Costco to buy some stuff. Vince was on the cart, just looking around and baby talking to people like they can understand him. Well, he was also talking to other babies and I think they understand him. Hmm.. Anyway, we passed by this group of men trying to sell new wireless accounts (cell phone, blackberry, etc) and they all said “Hi” to Vince! Some of them said “what a cute kid!” and started talking/playing with him. It was so funny seeing big men trying to talk with a baby! Of course, my husband was so proud that I couldn’t get his attention to help me find something. Hahahahahaha.

This month has always been a busy month and it will just get busier with this baby.
May 12 Jet’s bday
May 13 Mother’s day
May 15 Shadow’s bday
May 17 our Anniversary
May 19 Mom and Dad’s anniversary
May 21 Tobi’s bday
May 27 (I think) Claudia’s baptism
May 28 Herman’s bday and Memorial Day
May 30th Janthe’s bday

Now… when do you think will I be giving birth???

Reading 10zzzz

Vince loves books. He would get one of his Baby Einstein books and give it to you so you can read it to him. Sometimes he would "read" the book himself, and read it out loud... although he's the only one who can understand what he's saying... hehehe.
Last night, I put him to bed with his book. He did not want me to read it for him. Instead, he was going through the pages on his own, then he got tired and fell asleep with his book on his tummy.
I tried removing the book when I saw him sleeping, but as soon as I removed the book he woke up looked at me like saying "what are you doing?", then took the book back and fell asleep. hahahaha! He loved the book so much that he did not want to let it go even while he's sleeping.
The book on the picture was given to him on his birthday by the Swei Family... THANK YOU! He also has other books that we bought him last Christmas... the books of letters, the CATS, DOGS, BABIES, BIRDS, etc.
I think he's going to be a book worm!
