TITLE: To my Friends...
I am not sure who said this, but "It is better to love and lost then to have never
loved at all" is such an intriguing phrase. A lot of people have debated if this phrase will actually make you feel better or worse. And I will answer that with another phrase… “beauty is in the eyes of the beholder”. It all depends on how you look at it. You may say, it is better, because at least you were able to express yourself and you won’t have to wonder and ask the “what if’s”. On the other hand, you can say that it will make you feel worse, especially when your feelings are not reciprocated. It hurts like hell. You go numb. So you wished that you never even started it and showed yourself. But life in general is unpredictable. You will never know what life holds in the future. You have no choice but to risk it… if you want to experience life to its fullest. Most people who are risk averse tend to always say the “would’ve’s and could’ve’s”. I personally don’t like would’ve’s and could’ve’s. So I try to accept and risk it so that there will be less “what if’s”, “would’ve’s” and “could’ve’s”. I guess I’m emotionally stronger than most… because it hurts more than words can tell if life does not lead you to what you want or what you expect. Thank God for my family who taught me to stand no matter how hard the fall is. I may curl up for a little bit, to feel, to grieve, to be human. I will however pull myself together, stand and move on. Some people tend to stay curled up. Anyway, I dedicate this to a couple of friends who are going through hardships with their relationships… I just want to let you know that you are not alone. Some people may have a different problem, but know that you are not the only one hurting… and that your friends are always here for you. I saw this from the book I am currently reading “[It] taught him not to try to force the order of things. Leaves uncurled and flowers opened when it was their time” Be patient.
