One month

Vince is now 1 month and 1 week old. Time is just flying so fast. I wanted to post when he was exactly 1 month old but I didn't have the chance to do it.
What he can do...
- Lift his head and use his arms to lift his upper body
- Kick to move forward (but still having a hard time)... I think this is pretty early for his age.
- Smiling while awake (but rare)
- He can now focus on things that he finds interesting and of course the person holding him.
- He can almost roll over to his side on his own... almost...
- He is now using his voice to communicate... mostly an "ahh", besides crying :)

As for me, I went to my doctor this afternoon for my post partum check up. I guess everything is good. I can start exercising but I have to start slow. I can't do pilates yet. I have to start with cardio first. I also want to go to a chiropractor. My back still hurts the same way when I was pregnant. My doctor said that it will take some time for my body to get back to normal. My incision from the c-section will be sore for about a year ... great! (with a hint of sarcasm here...)

Anyhoo... this coming Sunday is my first Mother's Day. I think we're going out for lunch or dinner with my husband's family... I'm not sure. Our 3rd year anniversary is also coming up next week Wednesday (17th). Shadow's birthday is on Monday (15th). My husband's parent's anniversary is on the 19th. It will be a busy week.
